GUI_CM tool enhancements

Project description
This project mainly aimed at upgrading the graphical user interface (GUI) in IDL (Interactive Data Language) of the GUI_CM tool. That tool is part of the Cal/Val toolset for Level 2 (L2) products from the EPS-SG Visible/Infrared Imager (VII) and it is used at EUMETSAT to tune the detection thresholds of the METimage L2 cloud mask algorithm.
Responsibilities & Achievements
Starting from the initial IDL prototype version provided by EUMETSAT, we worked on many updates/improvements on the GUI_CM software:
- Unification of the input files used by the software,
- Reading of multiple new variables from NetCDF files,
- Building of new RGB images,
- Support for additional test types (ie. restoral tests),
- Support for polygonal Region Of Interest (ROI) construction and usage,
- Support for scene specific test threshold tuning,
- Support to build/save/load Constructed Reference Mask (CRM),
- Imporovements on statistic storage,
- Many updates/improvements on the GUI itselft to improve the user interactions,
